About Me

Well, where should I start?
I was born in Germany and still live there. At the age of 10 I decided to become a cartoon artist, but after participating in a cartoon contest and being rejected that wish faded a little. My art teacher at school made a short cartoon movie with us in 5th or 6th grade and I decided to become an Animator at the Disney Studios.
Some years later the same art teacher offered an animation class at our school, in which we watched animated movies and made our own 2D- and 3D-animated movies. In this class we watched all three "Wallace & Gromit" movies and from this time on I wanted to become a Stop Motion Animator, preferably at Aardman Animation. I became a member of the Photography work group at my school and, after a short time, changed it into a Clay Animation work group. After graduating from school, I am now working on a demo tape, with some examples of my work, to apply for a Stop Motion Course in the UK. For some reason I don´t know, the movies I made back in school were all lost. If they turn up again and I can find a way to transfer them from Super8 to any digital format I will be pleased to show them on this website.

Some of my other hobbies include reading (Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, Matt Ruff, Harry Potter, and other science fiction and fantasy novels), acting, juggling, unicycling, singing, dancing and playing the didgeridoo (or didjeridu).

Thanks

I want to thank

All the rest of my friends and family for just being there

And of course Nick Park for creating the two little plasticine guys that showed me the magic of Stop Motion - Wallace and Gromit
